Meet the team

Trish Johnson - Dip. Physiotherapy Otago, Principal

Trish has managed Anglesea Clinic Physiotherapy since 2007 and over that time has established a select team to provide excellent service in contemporary physiotherapy. Thanks to Trish’s vision and guidance, hard-working employees and unwavering support from clients and the community, the business has grown to be strong and successful.

Trish has special interest in helping seniors to manage their injuries and illness. A strong focus on strength, balance and fitness helps these clients to get the best out of life.

To balance a busy working life, Trish maintains a beautiful garden, has a keen interest in travel and enjoys spending time with four precious grandchildren.

Donna Jacobs - BPT, Grad Dip MT

Donna brings 35 years physiotherapy experience in Canada, Australia and New Zealand including 16 years in her own practice in Ngaruawahia. This rural experience diversified her clinical interests and she now calls herself a ‘jack of all trades’.

Donna has a special interest in treating the body as a whole. She works with each client, combining a ‘hands-on’ approach of manual therapy, myofascial release techniques and exercise. Her goal is client-empowerment for injury resolution and general health management.

In her spare time she can be found out for a purposeful walk, gardening, camping or volunteering in her church. She loves travelling and her 5-year goal is short term mission work.

Renee Wood - BHSc (Physiotherapy), Lymphodema Management, PINC Cancer Rehabilitation

Renee graduated from Otago University in 2004 and begun her working career at Whakatane Hospital as a rotational physiotherapist. She worked in ICU, orthopaedics, general medical, paediatric and maternity wards and treated clients in the musculoskeletal outpatient clinic.

Renee carried on to work in the community physiotherapy team and covered a large geographical area from Whakatane to East Cape. It was during this time she studied Lymphoedema Management.

Renee moved to Hamilton in 2008 and began working at Anglesea Clinic Physiotherapy. She currently works part time treating patients recovering from breast surgery and providing PINC Cancer Rehabilitation to women that have experienced any form of cancer.

Jill Pope - Dip. Physiotherapy Otago

Jill has had over 30 years’ experience in acute hospital services. Her last 15 years have been with us at Anglesea Clinic Physiotherapy providing post-operative physiotherapy at Braemar and Southern Cross Private Hospitals.

Jill works with patients following orthopaedic surgery, cardio-thoracic surgery and other cases as required.

Jill has a lovely cheerful personality but also knows how to get the best out of her patients. Her vast experience in the hospital setting allows her to know the limits of her patients and how far she can challenge them.
